CBA Downs Mon Don in SCT

CBA continued its hot season with a Shore Conference Tournament test against a traditional rival, Donovan Catholic.

The First quarter started well for the Colts as Conor Andree scored points and senior guard Peter Noble had two triples as CBA took an early 8 point lead. Donovan Catholic closed the gap as Matt Gerrity hit a three of his own and Kai Pritchard scored five of his own to get into the game. Not to be deterred, CBA went on an 8-0 run and the quarter ended with Charlie Marcoullier hitting  a three pointer as CBA took a 24-12 lead after 1.

The second quarter began well for CBA as the Colts pushed their lead behind Justin Fuerbacher. The Colts were sparked by Fuerbacher, who scored 8 points in the quarter as CBA stretched its lead to 16 midway through the quarter. DC cut the lead to ten led by stgrong play from Amare Walker and Gerrity, but CBA led 41-29 at the break.

Donovan Catholic came out strong in the third quarter and forced several turnovers as they cut into the CBA lead, bringing it down to seven points. CBA called a timeout and got the ball down low to Justin Fuerbacher who scored seven in the quarter, as CBA began to pull away and took a double digit lead at 57-41 after three.

Donovan Catholic had one final run in them and cut the lead in the beginning of the fourth but CBA was able to hold on to advance comfortably, winning 67-51.

CBA was led by Justin Fuerbacher with 18, Charlie Marcoullier with 16 and Conor Andree, who left the game early with an injury, with 14. Donovan Catholic was led by Amare Walker with 15.
