Several CVC Group III squads entered the season with high hopes but all were left wondering "What Could Have Been?" after Colts Neck got hot at the right time.
Behind senior forward Joel Cineus and junior Terrence Traylor, Ewing finished the season 22-6, winning the Mercer County Tournament and advancing to the Central Jersey Group III Final, falling to state champion Colts Neck.
Hopewell Valley finished 21-7 behind a balanced offense, led by senior Milan Desai. They, like Ewing, fell short against Colts Neck in the state tournament.
Lawrence finished 21-8, making the Mercer County final, before losing to Burlington Twp in the state tournament. Junior Marvin McNeill had a strong season and should be one of the top returnees in Mercer County next season.
