#1 Don Bosco Prep(2-1) vs Christopher Columbus(FL), 1 PM

*JD Core Training North Jersey Game Of The Day*

Another day at the City of Palms, another marquee matchup for the top team in the rankings. The Ironmen played nationally ranked Long Island Lutheran even up two days ago and will turn around to face yet another nationally ranked squad, Columbus from Miami. The Catholic school power from South Florida feature a host of high major D1 prospects and has played an elite schedule to start their season with a national brand. Bosco is taking on all comers and will come out of Christmas with Patrick School. To be the best--You play the best, and Bosco certainly is this year.

Manasquan(3-0) vs #17 College Achieve(2-0) 5:30 PM

The first major test of the season for the Warriors comes in the form of the state's newest power program, College Achieve. Dave Boff has assembled a talented roster at the Asbury Park school and has several players sitting due to being senior transfers. That said, he still has the top players on the floor in this one with 6'7" Keyport transfer Nas Hart and 6'8" Bergen Catholic transfer David Munro monitoring the paint. Freshman Anthony Mauro will lead the backcourt against 'Squan. The key to victory for Manasquan in this one will rest on team defense. Konov and Linstra will likely be assigned the big men and it will be up to the guards to provide pesky help and active hands. It's not unlikely, nor is it impossible to win this one but Manasquan will have to be on their A+ game today.

Henry Hudson(4-0) vs Donovan Catholic(2-0) 5:30 PM

It has been a good twenty years since the words "Henry Hudson" and "Test" have been put together in the same sentence but that is exactly what is on tap this afternoon in Highlands. While they considered teams like Keyport, Keansburg and Mater Dei(RIP to the alma mater) their main rivals over the years and found full gyms on those nights, this game is one of the biggest they've hosted in some time. While this isn't, say, the Mon Don team that had Ed Wicelinski sweating on the CBA bench during the 2006 Shore Conference Final they're out the gate 2-0 and have some talented young players who will be a great test for the Admirals. Hudson is led by junior guard Jack Fitzpatrick, who is now a three year starter and one of the best players to come out of the school in some time.

Hamilton West(3-0) vs Nottingham(3-0) 4:30 PM

A big Pre-Christmas clash in the CVC Valley division has two of the top teams in Mercer County meeting. Both teams are out the gate undefeated and this should be a matchup all fans keep their eyes on. Nottingham will be led by 6'3" senior forward Dom Raymond and 6'3" senior guard Jordan Raba, while Hamilton West will lean on their depth and balance across the roster, though 6'4" Hass Cannon is having a strong start to his senior year. West has some tough matchups on their non-divisional schedule and a win today could have them lurking near the ReportIt Top25 in the New Year.
