GSBR took a trip to Middlesex County on Thursday night to check in on a Sayreville program that appears to be on the rise this season as they took on North Plainfield.

The first quarter was fast paced, physical and foul filled. Both teams struggled to find a groove early from the field, but Joshua Strong was warm out the gate with 5 points early on for the Canucks, but Sayreville led 22-13 after a quarter.

Sayreville sophomore guard Sam Jones began to heat up in the second quarter, opening the period with a pair of three pointers and pouring in 14 points to send the Bombers into the locker room with a 44-31 lead at halftime.

Sayreville's up tempo offense and pressure began to widen the margin after the third, with the Bombers scoring 30 points in the quarter, expanding their lead to 74-43 after the third. In the fourth both teams utilized minutes for their reserves, with the Bombers flying to a 103-61 victory.
