The season has come to a close in the Garden State and its time to look back on the year that was.

Season Recap

Donny Lang and Overbrook continued their streak of 20+ win seasons, one which goes back to 2019-2020. Excluding lockdown year, the last time they won less than 20 games was 20-18-2019, finishing 17-10. Lamar Little had a breakout junior year and is on pace to break 1,000 points next winter. Senior guard Zair Green provided leadership and while they lost to Cinnaminson in states, Green went down swinging, scoring 38 in a loss.

Elijah Crispin helped lead Pitman to a 21-7 season, one they may feel ended too soon. Crispin torched opponents for nearly 800 points as a senior, including a high of 43 against Clayton. Pitman graduates 5 seniors who were key contributors but they have had an incredible run.

Timber Creek may have finished the season with a 19-10 record but also tangled with some of the toughest teams in South Jersey. They got hot at the right time and advanced to the South Jersey Group III Final. Seniors Asa Wharton, Chris Stowell and others graduate but 6'4" junior CJ Atkins returns after averaging 10&7.

Brian Kuzmick and Kingsway had a banner season, finishing 23-6 and coming within a hair of winning the Tri County Tournament and also lost a nailbiter to Central Regional in states. Their starters all tossed in over 200 points in a balanced attack with Kai Tolley, Dasir Williams Bey and junior Terrence Collier also getting it done on the boards.

Elijah Crispin, Pitman

It's back to back GSBR Tri-County Player Of The Year Awards for Crispin. The senior guard graduates with a whopping 2,097 points and 555 assists. He was only held under 20 points in four games. They came up short against Woodbury in states but Crispin will join his family members are being long-remembered in Pitman lore.
